April 27, 2010- Mountains
Hello fine folks!
It has been a cold, long winter……so cold that all the train tracks froze and my hair certainly froze a few times..I have spent it mostly focusing on songwriting and trying to connect with the mountains. Mountains are always there, but not always so easy to connect with in our big, speedy world…
I had the luxury of being able to spend several months in Scandinavia visiting family, meeting new and old friends, and touring. and I got to spend lots of time at one of my favorite places in the world: the sauna. : )
In March I started the spring tour in Sweden and I got to play in Uppsala, Stockholm, Norrkoping, Angelholm, Vejbystrand, and Malmoe. Then Denmark with the Sentimentals and the lovely Vanessa Peters (with whom I am doing a Texas tour with in August..), and Hamburg and Berlin. Here are a few photos that people took along the way…..

Right now I am in Norwich, England, waiting for Tim to arrive..thankfully we both escaped the volcanic ash cloud, and we can follow through with the tour..phew. We are so excited to go back to some of our favorite places in the UK! We also get to visit some new places including Northern Scotland and Bob Harris’ studio at the BBC. We’ll also be live on a bunch other radio shows, which I will post about on the website.
I am looking forward to sharing some of my new songs with all of you!
